What are the best, budget priced (say $500 or less) inline muzzleloading rifles that can take a scope? I have a Savage 10mlii, and am looking for something inexpensive for my hunting partner, so we can go out in the earlier muzzle season and beat the crowd on public lands. Any to stay away from?

I picked up a Traditions Yukon .50 cal inline from a friend just to see what BP was all about.

Seems well made and I did need a small part to hold the rod tight, Traditions was great to deal with.

Used it a few times and was hooked. Now there are a number of TC Hawkens living in the safe along with it.
 
I had a Traditions Buckstalker with a 24” barrel and shot several white tails with it. It was a handy rifle for stalking and shot ver well. I now tend to sit in a blind so I picked up a Traditions pursuit with a 26” cromemoly barrel and love it, 200 yard shots are no problem, and clean up is a breeze.
 
I’m now on my 2nd TC. Both love(d) sabots and shoot as accurately at 100 yds as my centerfires. My second is an Omega model topped with a Bushnell Elite 3200 which I got 2nd hand for $350. Keep your eyes out as they’re occasionally available for $200.
