Who uses a bullet puller and what do you recommend?...price/availability in Canada. Not too impressed with the inertia type.

I too had trouble with the inertia type (2 of them) picked up a collet type at a gun show and for me way better if doing a bunch for sure never mind the dangerous incidents read about on threads in here . Mines a rcbs

use the RCBS collet puller, works great only issue its a screw type tighten so not good in a turret press, during the tightening process the turret rotates but on single stage presses awesome.

RCBS collet puller. No powder mess, and reliable. It isn't noisy as well.

I have installed on a Lee classic cast turret press.

Puller body is $30, collet per caliber is around $15.

If doing more than a dozen for any reason I far and away prefer the Hornady cam style. But I recently made my own nutcracker style for one size and that works pretty well too. But it also requires some pretty specific machining to make it so it works well. Might not be an option for those without some home metal working tools and a full 3 way drill index. Here's an ebay listing for a multi caliber nut cracker style puller. It's used in connection with the loading press if you don't know.

Other than that if I only need to do up to around a dozen or so I use the inertia puller.

The cam style puller was used when I had a about 150 9mm rounds to pull due to the cat climbing in my big plastic roll around range cart and peeing on them and me not finding it for about a week. It turned the brass and copper bullets all fuzzy green and totally unusable. After washing them to remove the smell I wasn't about to trust them due to being wet for so long and wet in a corrosive liquid to boot. The cardboard boxes were still soggy when the smell finally led me to them in that deep dark corner of the basement at the time. So I broke the stuff down and discarded it all.
