So a buddy of mine has a savage axis in 22-250 he uses for coyotes and he kept all his brass so I can reload them for him, we’re unsure of what the best weight bullet to use in the rifle, up until now he’s only used 55 grain Remington (might be Winchester now that I think about it) and seems to get good accuracy so my question is this

What would y’all say the best bullet weight for good accuracy in these rifles is

Any help is appreciated

I’ve had success with over thousands of ground hogs using 50 gr and 55 gr VMax boooolits. I call them the varmint booolit that thinks it’s a sniper boooolit! LOL

All the Best!!

Cheers!

Speer 52gr jhp and the 55gr tnt. Seems to me that pretty much every good quality bullet is going to shoot very well so it doesn't really matter what weight you load it's hard to go wrong unless it doesn't match your twist rate. I mainly go by price and availability

Pretty much all of the 50-55 gr bullets will do well. 22-250 is a fairly non picky round to load for. Personal preference for coyotes is the 50gr vmax followed by the 50 gr Sierra blitzking
