Not being a super great artist painting is a bit out of the question, but what is the best option for a nice looking camo for a rifle? What have you guys used that you liked, disliked, stay away from at all costs etc... pictures would be awesome if you have used some.

Thanks.

a lot of our customers are going for the mossy oak break up.
personally i'd just make a sorta ghillie netting for the gun depending on the action.

Yah but how do yo get it on there. :) I am talkin about painting or sticking on or whatever to get to be camo'd.

I was sittin in the place where we do all of our best thinking and I know there is mossy Oak Duct tape. No I don't want to ruin my gun with duct tape residue but....You know how they have that tape that has no glue, it only adheres to itself? Why not just wrap your gun in that stuff, then put the duct tape on top of that?

hunters specialtys makes a cammo tape that is cloth based and non maring any marks that might be left are removable you can find it at crappy tire

I picked up a couple of different types from Cabela's, but I'm sure you can get it locally, it is like a gauze with a camo pattern, that only sticks to itself, not your gun. So when you peel it off, there is no residue, and it is reusable. I bought snow camo, mossy oak, and a 3-d leaf one too. They're great. One roll of it easily did my rifle and scope.

i use krylon camo paint for all my camo jobs
