I'm new to collecting Milsurp and would like to ensure that pieces I begin to acquire are honestly described, fairly priced, etc...

It would be a great help to me if some of you would share with me your experiences, either here or via PM .

The Canadian dealers I'm particularly interested in hearing about are the following:

Marstar
P&S Militaria
Tradex
Westrifle
Collector's Source
Weimajack
Ellwood Epps
Frontier
SFRC

(others?)

*Please let me know if I've missed any I should be aware of.

TIA.

All great IMO .... No issues with any of them, and I've dealt with all the above. Good luck :)

All the dealers you have listed are good. Some are more specialized in different types of surplus than others. Go to their individual forums and you'll get your answers.

Add Weimajack to that list. I had a positive experience dealing with him.

Ellwood Epps regularly has nice milsurps in stock, often in decent quantities. I have had multiple good experiences with them.

Also, another +1 for Tradex. Good dealings with them in the past.

Other dealers include: Frontier and SFRC. I have never dealt with them before, but I know they regularly have good supplies of milsurp stuff in stock.

Collector's Source is out of there mind with most of there pricing but Elwood is a good place i always deal with MAC there when buying rifles.

Tradex are great to deal with, but I have found some damn good deals on the Equipment Exchange. (No tax, either!!)

Wow, that Collector's Source is crazy-they are asking some way out prices for a lot of their stuff. I'd keep away from them for sure....

Tradex would be at the top of that list IMO, Marstar is good but I find their website is a little hard to find things sometimes. Is it just me or does Collectors Source's inventory never change, might have something to do with the high prices? Epps always has a nice selection with really fair prices, just never go on a sat, they get crazy busy.

I've dealt with Trade-Ex on numerous occasions, and I can't ask for better goods or service. They won't steer you wrong, you can count on it. Cheers.

Thank you for putting us on the list :)

Perhaps add to you list ..

Not a commercial venture, but an all Canadian site going though development testing now … :)

Milsurps.Com SHOPhttp://www.milsurps.com/shop/en/

Read the welcome notice or FAQ's for more information …

A selection of items now for sale, plus there will be LOTS of unique and interesting pieces from high end private collections appearing for sale as soon as Bill C19 takes effect. ;)

Regards,
Doug

I've done business with almost all the listed companies; in my opinion, Tradex is the best; and at the other end of the scale, I don't even visit Marstar' site anymore.

I have had several transactions with Marstar, and they all have been great. Additional transactions with SFRC and Tradex also have been fine. I would deal again with any of these dealers without reservation.
