Best case lube method to reduce friction

I use Dillon case lube for rifle cases, a bottle of which has lasted me several years. It is the same thing as the home mixed lanolin and alcohol. One pump into a large Ziploc bag with the brass in it and shaking to distribute it over the cases does the trick. If you find that the case mouth needs more lubrication, smear Kiwi neutral shoe polish or Imperial Sizing Wax over the inside edge with your finger.

I use Hornady One Shot for pistol cases with carbide dies. It cuts down on the sizing effort and leaves very little residue behind, such that I don't feel the need to tumble it off. I'm not sure if I would trust it with rifle cases, though.

The best part about using it for sizing cases is it helps heal those puss filled sores on your hands and keeps them utterly soft.

Laugh2 OK I milked it for all it was worth.

I use spray silicone lube, available at all your friendly auto part store. The stuff is slippery but not sticky. I put the case I want to FL in a plastic grocery bag, spray some lube on it and tumble them all at once. You can size em right away or let dry. Your choice. Work well with 30-06, 308 win and 303 brit. I dunno about the big magnum case but I guess it would work just as well. Good stuff.

How do you get this stuff off the cases? I assume it is not water soluble.

I have a pill bottle filled with #7 1/2 shot and fine flake graphite. I dip my necks in the bottle then resize. I keep a used cleaning patch that has been used for oiling my barrel/action. I just handle the patch then man handle my cases a bit. While dipping and aligning in the press.

I've been using "One Shot" when full length resizing lately, seems to work fine but a can doesn't last long. My perferred reloading method is to not use any lube at all and use a Lee collet die, no mess, no fuss. Cases last longer as well.

I recommend "boot leg lube"...

1 part liquid lanolin mixed with 12 parts 99% isp alcohol.

Warm the two components prior to mixing...
I've been using this home made case lube for a while now and have sized thousands of .223 cases with it.

Works great and doesn't stink like the Hornady OneShot I used to use.

my Lanolin and Alchohol combo is perfect, I can lube the case and resize even after a month, the case is still lube.

I have been using Imperial Sizing Wax on the case body for at least 3 decades now, probably longer.

I lube necks with the pill bottle, ¾ full of #8 shot, with a tablespoon of powdered graphite in it.
Just dip and twist the neck in the shot....you're done! It's dry, so no need to remove later.

Since I loathe all spray on case lubes, this is my chosen method, and it really works.

I FL resize, form different cases, etc with it.
Redding now produces the Sizing wax, so it is relatively easy to find.

A little goes a long way, as well....one large tin lasts me thousands of rounds.

Regards, Dave.

Imperial Dry graphite media and Imperial Sizing Wax for me too, I tried quite a few brands and types of case lube before I settled on Imperial products many years ago.

For decades I used a grease pad and whatever brand of resizung lube on it I had onhand. I tried the Hornady spray lube but it does stink. I dipped the case necks in graphite but that is messy especially if you had lube on the case outer. PITA to clean up afterwards.
Sooo I tried the liquid lanolin and alcohol method today on 9mm cases. Works real good. It is what I will use on pistol cases till I check it out on rifle cases. Lanolin is way easier on the skin too.
