Best cheap over under

Thing is, for Joe Recreational Hunter that goes through half a box of shells a year ground swatting grouse and crows, does he care if:

- the barrels are poorly regulated?
- the trigger pulls are horrible?
- the balance is off?

Its easy to see how cheap guns from Turkey and Brazil earn their spot in the market place.

I've had more than a few Superposed shotguns over the years and I'm a big fan however they do have their drawbacks. Parts are not that hard to find in the US but most of them have to be hand fitted since the guns were for the most part hand made. Finding a smith that can do the work for you are getting harder to find than the parts are still, I wouldn't let that stop me from buying another Super in fact I've been looking for one in 20 gauge for a long time. It's easy enough to find one with 26 inch barrels but the 28 inch Super's seem to be a lot harder to come by.
Yeah, I was talking to an old gunsmith aa few years back tgat said the same thing.Break a Citori ejector. Order a new one and pop it in . A Superposed? Wait, then get it hand fitted! LOL
Won't stop me from buying another one, either!

I purchased a Broadway from an online dealer a few years ago and the gun was described as in very good condition and it was except that both ejectors were cracked. I sent it back rather than go through the hassle of getting new ones fitted.
A close inspection is required on those guns, it also pays to buy from a reputable dealer!

I have a Citori 16 gauge with 26" barrels. I had until a couple weeks ago a early 1950s solid rib 26" Superposed 20 gauge. The Superposed is such a better gun than the Citori that any minor inconvenience of having to have a part hand fitted should it break isn't worth the breath spent mentioning it.

I was required to part with the Superposed based on a long ago deal. I am now searching for it's replacement. It will be a solid rib, 26" 20 gauge Superposed. They are the only O/Us I've handled that come close to what I'm used to with my better SxS.

I find the 26 inch barrels too whippy and need the 28's to dampen the swing a bit, especially when they don't have choke tubes to add weight to the muzzles.
The problem is that the majority of my shooting is done with 9 lb over and under's so anything light weight takes a while for me to get used to due to muscle memory. I've all but given up side by sides just for that reason. I had a lovely AYA #2 round body in 28 gauge that was a thing of beauty and sometimes I shot it well but not enough for my liking so it had to go. It sucks but if I shoot a light weight gun long enough to get used to it then my scores suffer with the heavier gun and I can't have that, my team members will kick me out of the group for non-performance! Lol

I have the two huglu 12 guage over unders
One has been good the other however has a bad regulation issue and the importer/shop where I bought them from doesn’t want to return my e mail on how to get it fixed so I’m pretty much hung to dry as well
It cost them a sale though
I was wanting to buy a bt-99 and bought it from Prophet instead of them
That’s what happens when you have crap CS
Got a better deal on it too so was a win!
