Best cheap versatile single shot?

I had a h&R pardoner 12g for a few years. Work great. I bet it could be modified to do what you want
I still have my pardoner 410. Never a issue in 12+ years.
Simple but work

I have a Huglu 28 gauge single shot thats a pleasure to carry; recoil is a little hard, but what really irks me is pulling the external hammer back; it feels like your thumb print will be removed its so hard to ####. I contacted Profit River about the issue they said it will eventually " loosen up " it hasn't; seems to be getting worse.... I have about 80 rounds through it.

I would like to know what is the best(subjective, I know) single shot shotgun that can do it all, (cheaply)

Isn't there something about "cheap" stuff being expensive? As you'll probably be buying twice...
If you only want to buy one firearm
- a combo gun would probably be best (shotgun/rifle barrel)
- A Rem 870 with different barrel would be cheaper and also quite versatile

Thanks for posting that website Suther (they have some nice looking stuff and good reviews).

Perhaps the OP should look into shotguns that can actually handle the loads he wants to shoot (or in the future wants to shoot) as it is a concern noted on some of the adapters.

Quoted from Chaszel's website(direct copy I did not clean up the grammar/spelling):
"...Therefore only use these rounds in shotguns that are capable. For example, a shotgun with a SB1 or Sb2 reciever. I recommend on any shotgun to test the first shot in a vice while out of harms way in addition always wear eye and ear protection. After that if you see that the primer punctured in the round discontinue using this round and use the less powerful round. Such as a 38 Special instead of the 357 Mag These high pressure rounds include: 45-70 Shotgun Adapters., 357 Mag, 327 Shotgun Adapters , 44 Mag, and 22 Hornet. Please always be safe and aware..."
