Best, cheapest, handgun purchase that you ever had

About five years ago I picked up two handguns from a co-worker who wanted to downsize his collection. They were a 9mm FEG that is an exact copy of the Browning Hi-Power with Pachmayr grips, and a stainless Rossi 861 .357 magnum revolver for a combo price of $400. I thought I did pretty good considering they had not been shot much and I still enjoy them today. These were the first two handguns I owned. I have since added to the collection with one of the Norc 1911A1's.

Best deals ;

In 1980 bought S&W Model 18 K Series Target Masterpiece for $150.00

In 1985 bought a Model 1927 Sistema Colt with all matching numbered parts that was practically unused - for $250.00 from a dealer in Ontario.

In 2009 bought two Nork 213's for $99.00 each.

All the above still shooting well. :)

Thanks for sharing all the pertinent details. You did well on this deal, value has probably doubled in 5 years. Good for you.

Sauer & Sohn Western 6 Shooter in 22LR

I think the cost worked out to 2 AR mags and a 4" rail (trade). I love the little thing, put probably 1000 rounds through it in the handful of range trips I've taken it on. Didn't work for a damn when I got it, but with a good cleaning and a littel elbow grease, it runs great. Accurate to boot.

picked up a S&W mod 10 , a Walther mod 4 and a Llama 45 auto from an ex police one day for the princely sum of $100 , said he didn't need them and to make an offer , I didn't want to insult him and told him so , I offered $100 at his insistence and he said sold . The model 10 was like new and the Walther was a 32 cal left hand eject , the Llama well it was a Llama
