Best club in lower mainland for pistol ...

Hi there new to the wonderfully world of pistols here , I'm the proud new papa of a xd 9 tactical ..yahoo!!!

I'm looking to jump feet first into some kinda of pistol sport , looking for your opinion on clubs /ranges in the lower mainland that have the most to offer to the pistol shooter , ipsc idpa, speed steel ect ,

Is there anything eles out there other than the 3 I just stated ? , would love throwing a shot gun in the mix too !!

I would greatly apreciate your advise and why you would pick such range. I'm out In maple ridge so anywhere between Abby and poco works for me .

You have both Abby and Mission close to you. I personally would pick Abby. Less Fudds. Abby also has way more fun events.
 
Just picked up a DVC membership, only 200 bucks this monrth. Can't beat being warm and cozy shooting while is pissing out.

Mondays will be members only day and you can bring a free guest.

There aren't many fudds at Mission anymore. They put on a very good speed steel match every month. 30-40 competitors regularly show up for this. Mission has also got a 300 meter rifle range.
 
Another one to consider, which is just across the line in WA and is without doubt the best club in the area, is Custer. These guys do everything and have well attended matches every weekend.

If you want to check it out go take a peek in the events and gatherings forum, there's an interesting shoot this Friday evening. I went to last years and instantly decided I had to join there.
