Best coyote caliber

It's all in the shooters preference, .204, 22-250, .223 are all good. If you don't care about keeping the pelts it
Don't matter what you use, hence why I'm using my
.300 rum this year.

The 22 250 is the number one ruler when It comes to coyotes. Many others will do the job bit the king will keep on ruling ...Dutch

For coyotes, hard to beat a .223 for availability of cheap ammo, reloading is even cheaper, less noise(for farmer's family) and pretty much a DRT caliber to 150m.

22 250 is flatter and louder but fast

.243 is good where wolf and yotes overlap and is a great deer caliber

You can buy .243 58gr hornady superformance ammo that is faster than a 22-250. .. I have to say the 243 with that load is my pick for top coyote gun.

Since you you posted this in the shotgun section, I will say 12 gauge. You will just have to calculate the caliber that it works out to for yourself.
