For $2000, ou can get a action, a high end synthetic stock. and a good barrel allscrewed together....

Under 2K, look at maybe a Sako. On a $2000 rifle, your scope should cost about $500 and your mounts/rings about $250, or else the scope setup will look chintzy on it

Figure on $2750 for the package.

Steyr Mannlicher or Sauer 202. You can get either one for under $2000. They are the best quality rifles under $2000.

Sauer 202 but at $2000 you're getting into the realm of custom rifles. If you don't get to crazy, you could get a custom built for just over $2000.
