Best current deal on Russian SKS?

I could do that test in minutes, drop the trigger group to inspect. Do the #### and click, re rack the bolt repeat the click test. No need to fully disassemble the rifle.

Perhaps Al has forgotten that not every new shooter/customer starts with a premium set up.
Some of us start(ed) with a budget set up then as our skills progressed figured out where our major interest was then graduated to a higher quality set up specific to our main shooting interest.
I for one have a SKS purchased locally in Hamilton from a shop that was more than happy to show several rifles and thanked me for my initial small purchase of a single SKS and a miserly 100 rounds of ammunition.
That excellent first impression has earned them my continued patronage.

he is more saying it has a low profit margin, because of the steps involved. it already is a cheap gun, to a certain degree their is no need to go out and find the cheapest

I can understand that SKS are a low profit item, but dealers must see them as something to bring people in and a cheap firearm that add numbers to the total firearms into the country. Each SKS is a step against a future prohibition. Imagine if there was 20 millions SKS in Canada.... I know it's just a dream lol
