So which manufacturer has the best cus. service in canada/ I know s and w does not. I heard ruger is good, snapshots that would be. Anyone else have positive experience getting thier firearms fixed or getting parts.. thanks i am mainly talking about handguns.

None. Period.

Learn to source parts and fix the problem yourself because firearms in Canada might as well be thought of as warranty-less.

I have had good luck with Stoeger. The stock on my coach gun cracked at about 10 months. I sent it in and had it back with a new stock in exactly 10 days. But the best customer service is the one you never need. I have 4 HK’s with I don’t know how many thousands of rounds through them with zero issues, and their mags, although expensive always work flawlessly

that is interesting, I think i have owned everything but hk, kimber, grand power and iwi...heard hk mags are pricey

Tried to use the CZ warranty once. It was through Grech outdoors at the time. Probably the most painful warranty attempt I’ve ever tried. In the end, I had to use an alternate source for the broken CZ97 extractor I needed. 6 months after that, I received a follow up from Grech. What a joke. Thankfully CZ products are generally trouble free.

I would say that the best warranty for firearms are the ones that are warrantied by actual Canadian distributors and not "warranty centers" like Grech or Snapshots- both of which can be painful to deal with for warranty work.

For example I've had things dealt with by Blueline, Tactical Imports and North Sylva for example. They took some time but actually got done. I have a firearm with IRUNGUNS now and it's taking time but I expect it to get done. Snapshots can "forget" about your repair for months. I'm still waiting for a part from Grech from 2014 that they assured me would be there in a few weeks and they would call. (Eventually I fixed it myself and sold the gun)

Best warranties are actually for optics like Leupold and Vortex. Fast turnaround for both of them

absolutely the best customer service Dlask. If you ever have a problem with something they built they fix it. I had a problem with a sight they fixed it and shipped it next day. One of my grip panels cracked they sent me a new one the next day. Great service and great products.

i heard they were bad

I am starting to get that feeling with the exception of ruger

I thought Snap Shots was crap. I won't buy Rugers anymore, because I don't want to deal with them. 6 months for a replacement pistol, that arrived just as bad as the one I returned. They wanted to send me a third.

Gravel and H&R was good to deal with. It was a about 2 months for a replacement during Christmas.

I'm dealing with Blueline Sol ATM, and there was some miss communication, and long delays on getting back to me. I put a service ticket in May, 3 months later they contacted me about it.

Canadian Warranty equals You Tube and a little bit of DYI unfortunately. I have had 2 dealings with Snap Shots for my Ruger and luckily it was just for parts that I could easily install and they sent them out instantly. Most of my pistols are Glocks or some sort of a variation of one and there a lot of helpful people at my LGS and my range at assist.

Yes I know it pisses me off, and I hate to support a manufacturer who offers poor cust. service in canada. I know a couple of good 1911 smiths..it seems I am buying more of that pattern lately. At least if they need something above my limited skills I can run to them for help.

Grech is without question the WORST I have ever dealt with. Previously I’d been convinced that Turkish gunmakers were the absolute worst of the worst; then I had I the first encounter with Grech. Closing on six months to repair a brand new pistol; FOUR rounds through it before failure. I’m no gunsmith but I’d bet $100. That based on what it did, the likely problem is the one I suggested in my very first email. At this point, it is literally the ONLY one he hasn’t tried.

I’ve been trying to get it back for two weeks now. I’m so irritated, I don’t give a crap about warranty anymore; it would NEVER get sent in to those clowns again. If I can get it returned, I’ll have my local guy fix it, and it’ll be for sale.

NEVER, EVER again....I even wrote the CEO of the gun maker’s company, to see if HE can put some pressure on them

That's good, because their actual customer service amounts to "you suck and we hate you."

Had good luck with Stoeger, but probably because I do not deal with them:). My local gunsmith is a warranty center for Stoeger and he deals with them. Had a coach gun that had unlocking issues and he dealt with it for me. Also had a Uberti 1871 that hit 7" left at 10meters. You could see the sight was super crooked. Jason called them, got a new barrel just for the front sight (front sights are not a stocked part), and he installed it for me and let me try it out before he reblued it. Looks new and hit almost perfect to POA now.

Had good luck with oats from Ruger, but straight out of the US. Had an old MKI with the firing pin rolled over. They sent me a new one free of charge. Also replaced the muzzle guard on a 10/22 International when it flew off after I forgot to put the screw back in (oops).
