With all the negative experiences Ive had and shared with the CGN'ers Id like to say I had outstanding dealings with a small dealer in AB, Shooters Choice

I bought a Remington that had some issues that well known gunsmiths couldnt fix, took the rifle to Remington warranty depot and was told to live with the problem :mad:. My last resort was to Roger at Shooters Choice in Arrow Wood AB. I emailed him with my problem, explained the situation and with no hesitation he told me to send the rifle back and replaced it with a rifle of my choice in the same cal.
I just thought people like this deserve recognition!! Not only is he priced equal to the larger stores he has something most lack "CUSTOMER SERVICE"

Ive been told this before and kinda shook it off to save a few bucks but buying from the smaller local guys really pays off!!!

GUNS N GADGETS in Aylmer, Ontario. not a bad selection and they take the time to help you or get in what they don't have in stock. Small town service goes along way.

Reliable Gun in Vancouver have impressed me several times.
Very knowledgeable staff, great customer service, and highly qualified gunsmithing department.

Hmmmm, I think you are biased since your buddy works there.:D
I'd second it though, we got rings and bases from there real quick.

Shooters Choice in Ontario was very good to deal with and gave accurate ratings for the used rifles I got from them.

Prophet River, Trade Ex, P&D and Corlane have all given great service.
Then we can't forget the crew of CGN, who have done well to keep me broke for over four years. Almost all the dealings have gone very well.

As to Boss-hog2's comment I have to agree. Calls not returned, guns not well described or priced. And it took some talking to convince them they wanted to take it back. The definition of a bright shiney bore can mean alot of different things to some folks.:rolleyes:
 
..Ditto on Roger at Shooter's Choice in Alberta. Top Notch guy, building his small business on doing things right first time out. We can expect great things from him in the future.

...Always had great dealings with Phil at P&D, Brian Kent at Pro-Line, and the Really Tall Guy at the Shooting Edge.

....the gun counter staff at Russell's in Calgary are always great, as is Del and his folks at Del Selin's in Vernon......:cheers:
 
I forgot to mention Darren Trebble at Prairie Gun Traders in Avonlea SK is a good guy to deal with. He always answers my emails is a timely fashion has good stock and is an all around fair guy to deal with.

In a world of wannabe hack gunsmiths Dennis Sorrinson (Guntech) has been a beacon of quality.
No matter what the project is, it has been done first class.

He gets my vote for best customer service.

I've had good experiences with Epps, Prophet River, Lawry Shooting Sports, Quinte Outdoors, Rick Bin @ 24hr, and a several dozen gunnutz...

Some may not agree here, but as for the big stores, I've always had good luck with SIR...
