Best CZ .22 LR?

My 16" 452 American is a tack driver at 50, at 100, and as far out as my range will go ~225. I was going 5 for 5 on the smaller side of a red brick at 220 last time I had her out.

If were to ask this question on the CZ site on Rimfire Central a large majority of the fellas there will tell you that their Full Stock or Mannlicher style rifle are their most accurate pieces. I concur, you take a full stock rifle with a tuned trigger and you can groups get smaller and smaller the more expensive ammo you shoot at the target. I have 2 0f them in 22LR, 1 in 17HMR,and 1 in 22 hornet. plus a few other brands of full stock type of rifles in my assortment. FS
 
I have a 452 varmint and a 455 lux and like them both, the 455 has the switch barrel feature if you want to get a 22mag or a 17hmr later. As for which particular one that you must decide, hopefully you have a gunshop near by to handle some different ones. The fullstock model is reported to be very good if you like that style and the scout is very popular as well. Good luck picking one out.

finished better? I dont know how it could be finished better..my 452 FS is of excellent quality. I dont like the idea of barrel swapping. If anything the 455's are of less quality then the old 452's. Company's will always find a cheaper way to produce products, example would be the cheap sights they put on the 455's, another example would be Glock slide finishes on gen 1 and gen 2 models, stick a gen4 glock nest to a gen1 or 2 and you will see what im talking about.

just look at a BRNO model 2 and a 452 Lux, similar rifles, but the BRNO is of better quality, and some say accuracy as well. Usually when dealing with things like firearms or tools, older production is higher quality.
 
Of all the CZs I own or have owned, the 452FS was the most accurate. It shoots as good or close to as good(depending on the day) as my full stocked anschutz. Even the 455fs couldn't do what it does.

Well in the last week I bought 3 of these guns!!! :eek:

Best shooter is the 455 Varmint but it is in 17hmr. ;)

I have the 513 Farmer in .22lr, and 455 Standard in .22wmr, and they are both shooting under an inch at 50m, and I haven't even done any ammo testing, or tweaking of the triggers. This was just new outta the box with cheap Win Xpert .22 lr, and Dynapoint .22 wmr.

It would seem that with the right ammo these guns are all tack drivers.

With the .22 lr, and .17 hmr I am prolly not gonna need the .22 wmr so PM me if anyone is interested. ;)
 
I have the CZ 452 Varmint for scoped and silhouette shooting and the 452 Lux to shoot over iron sights. The adjustable (25 to 200) iron sights on the Lux are very nice to use.
