Well finally got my P229. Bought on May 25th, approved on May 26th, in my hands on June 7th. Thanks a lot to Jory who pointed me the right way and to Red Deer shooting center for their professionalism and customer care. On to the goods.
Great packaging from RDSC, waterproof and good thick cardboard box.
A little gift from them is first thing you see. Some cool targets.
Extra mag and Trijicon HD sights I bought at the same time. They did install the sights for me. Thanks!
And on to the main item.
As you can see it is the older slide design, the box says manuf. Septembre 2010 and the serial confirms it. The barrel is 4.17inches.
For those interested here is some shots of the sights. In the dark. First is just the tritium inserts.
Now the orange paint charged with a flashlight for 10 seconds.
After 2 minutes.
After 5 minutes.
I have an SRT kit on order, probably get a stainless steel guide rod too and still weighing my options for grips. I am used to the dark elite aluminium ones on the P226 so I might get those.
