Title says it all,

Where is the best store/site to order/buy .44mag ammo for my new revolver? Anybody aware of any good deals out there right now? I don't reload my own ammo so shopping for the best bulk deal I can find.

cheers,

G

perfect time to start reloading and make your money back quick!

not sure on your actual question though, sorry.

reload for the beast, I reload with bullets that I cast from recycled wheel weights. I figure that I am shooting for 10-12 cents a round. even if you buy projectiles lead or plated it is still 1/2-1/3 the cost of factory. That being said have fun with your hand cannon!

Cheapest 44 mag is probably Wolf reloads but you will have a fun time trying to find them in stock anywhere. Still going to cost you ~$0.60/round. Other than that you are probably looking at $0.75/each to $1/each.
SFRC has S&B in stock last I checked; $37.99/50rnds which is pretty much the going rate. Last time I bought factory 44 mag it was $18.99/25rnds.

I reload with quality jacketed hollow points for hunting in my lever rifle for about $0.50 a shot. With copper plated Berry's bullets they come to about $0.30 each. With self cast it's closer to $0.20 each.

Sorry to side track... wheel weights are made of zinc. You have had no issues with that as a bullet?
I'd say the majority of current wheel weights are iron/steel, not zinc. There are still some lead ones floating around but they are drying up.

He is right about the Wolf reloads. Bulls Eye Sports in London stocks this ammo. It is listed on their webpage for $329.90 for 500 rounds.
