So being a QC based company what is Tradex required to do around the LGR when selling to an out of province customer? It would suck for their business if they were forced to continue registering.

It's a shame Westrifle has not got any stock,sks and svt,they are missing out on a bunch of sales ,they did have very nice sks,and there were many pictures of each one, with serial # and you could pick out your exact one at no extra charge. I hope they get some stock in soon, m44's are supposed to be coming too!

Yep. I picked one up today to celebrate the end of the LGR. $179 plus tax. Came with a sling and a kit containing a muzzle cap, a cleaning brush, and a couple of things I haven't identified yet. Best of all - no registration! Not even a phone call to the CDC. Just took my PAL info for the "green book" and that was that. Nice feeling.
Forgot about your other question. Laminate is a plywood,the russians laminated sheets of birch with the grains crisscrossed to make a stronger stock.the original stocks on the earlie models was solid birch I like both but the birch looks real nice to me. You should be able to see pictures of both if you browse through this red rifle section or go up to the stickies and look through there !

Hi I just recieved my SKS a 1954 Russian laminate stock version from WANSTALLS for $235.00 with tax and delivery in excellent un-issued condition and no evidence of any re-firb done to it.The rifle was packed great with lots of bubble wrap and shipped in a heavy duty box It is very clean with no evidence and of packing grease and was well oiled.The rifle came with x4 stripper clips - x2 ammo pouches - x1 sling - x1 oil bottle with pouch and a WANSTALLS mouse pad
The rifle did not come with a owners manual, cleaning kit or a bill of sale but that is not really an issue as I will just shoot them a e-mail and get one for my records.Very happy with my purchase and hopefully I will get some rounds down range this weekend.

They don't come with an owners manual,you can get them on line probably in the stickies at the top of this section. Cleaning kit might be in an ammo pouch or in the stock, it is just a small 3" long 3/4" dia black tube when you open it the kit is inside.If you don't have it they will send one to you!
To learn how to take them apart and clean them try youtube lots of info!

Here's a pic of mine with a Swedish 6.5x55 and an Enfield 303 for size comarison. It's a lot smaller than I expected. I wanted to try it out today but got side tracked and, well you know how it goes.....

Walked into the powder keg in kamloops had a crate on the floor I think 199.00 for the sks they also have surplus ammo I think 1200 rounds for 189.00 . I would check to be sure. I am going back next week to pick the best one out of the crate for my wife when she gets her pal. Cheers....
