Ok so you get a hot buy on a 100,000 rounds, then you have to ship that ammo, Say goodbye to any savings in price. No retailer in todays market place is going to shave off 20 points of his already fairly low margin, to satisfy your requirements. You should buy all you can now and in 5 years you'll look like genius. Or get into reloading. FS

Kent's tungsten matrix has gone thur the roof in the last year or so. That said if you know anyone in Edmonton that can get to P&D, they still have their remaining inventory priced from two years ago and that price is less than current dealer net.
Fasteel pricing has remained fairly consistant price wise at least out west. Most retailers sell it at around $15.00 per box of 25. FS

ok if our dollar is worht less why are we not making more money ? why the heck did the prices not go down when we rose above the US dollar?

Actually prices in several areas in the shooting sector have gone done in price including new firearms and optics (some are yet to drop as the new lower cost inventory arrives and the savings are passed on the consumer). Ammunition on the other hand is in a completely different area. As discussed at length on this site the cost of base metals , the war in the middle east and the short supply have been driving up prices not only in Canada but in the USA. Also the time frame that the CDN $ was above par with the US $ was short lived and at a time of year most retailers and distributors were not buying big. Now that the CDN$ is a little below par we are still going to be above the US retail considering shipping and brokerage. Phil.
