Would be good to know what people recommend in terms of trigger upgrades for the 10/22. Unlike some, I can live with the polymer trigger gaurd in order to save a couple $. Before I pull the trigger (pun intended) on the Clark Custom Deluxe Trigger Kit from Brownells, I'm woundering if there are any better alternatives for the $. I know I could save a little bit by just getting the Volquartsen hammer, but I'm willing to spend a little bit more to get all that comes with the Clark Custom Deluxe kit. I would spring for the KIDD trigger kit for first choice, but I can't find it anywhere.

I am extremely satisfied with the Timney that I bought from Mystic Precision (site sponsor).

You've peaked my interest sir. When I go to the Timney website, they only show a complete trigger. The one in mystic precision seems to be a drop-in kit. Funny that Timney doesn't show this one anymore. Maybe they stopped making these.

And that titanium PC kit is dam expensive. I'm not too sold on titanium components either. I've heard that titanium firing pins are highly unreliable.

Yup,

I bought this one...

Contact Jerry and see if he still has them. It was simple to install and operates as smooth as sh!t through a goose.

I have the PC full kit in one of mine and I like it. It is better than just the VQ hammer. If I have the choice I would go for the Kidd.

I have also used the PC extractors with good results.

If you only modify the hammer or sear, you will still have the issue of trigger overtravel to deal with. This can be done with a DIY set screw, or a custom trigger. You can get a pretty good trigger pull just by following instructions and stoning the sear.

I have a couple of Superior Concepts charging handles and it is tied for my favorite with the Kidd. There is more "meat" to grab onto with the Superior Concepts, which I really like, but it's not quite as smooth as the Kidd.

Brownell's will not ship the Superior Concepts to Canada, I've tried. You can order direct from Superior Concepts though, Phone: 503-776-9104 and they will ship to you. Great service when I dealt with them.

What? How can Brownells not ship them to Canada? That's total crap! Do you know why they can't?

Back on topic I have a Power Custom trigger in my 10/22 and it's pretty sweet. Haven't tried the timney to compare to in the 22, but have a 3lb timney in my AR and love it as well. Can't really go wrong with either in my opinion.
