What the hell is your bag limit? Does? There's no trees...must be nice to see more than 10 feet. I'm moving to Alberta.

It is 3 deer/person in Alberta. He must have a partner unless he is doing a CWD cull hunt in which case he still has a few more tags to fill.

3 shot with the 140 TSX from a 280 rem. 2 were DRT and a third made it 20 yards packing a wheel.
3 shot with the 120 NBT from a 7mm-08. 2 were DRT and a third made it 25 yds, 15 of them sliding on the ice nose first, it to packing a wheel.
I draw three conclusions. Breaking bone is king. A well hit deer goes nowhere, and the TSX, as usual, will put stuff away as quick as any "explosive" bullet and will do it from ANY angle.
Here is the deer I let get to the water. You can lead a deer to water........

The TSX's all exited. The NBT's all stayed inside and I haven't found any. Yet.

My buddy from the coast has used there 'dry plus' fleece for years and has always been happy with it. I remember that camo being available from them in burber (berber?) wool before. I was hoping that was what it was as I have never found anyone who has tried it.

I don't think the Dry Plus comes in berber. This stuff would be more like their microtex. My biggest beef with it is that it collects moisture. It will keep you dry but I like a hard shell better when it's wet. I shouldn't complain to much is it probably saved both our lives on an unexpected cold wet rainy snowy night on a sheep mountain.

I hear you on having the good gear especially this year with all the crappy weather at the end of sheep season. I have to seriously upgrade some of my stuff, got caught with wet pants in one of those rain/snow hurricanes and I'll tell you it was not a nice walk out. At least I had fresh socks and a good pair of underware that probably helped out more than anything.

I hear ya. I carry and wear a couple of things I didn't used to because I've learned from first hand experience they can become literally a life and death matter.
