Looking for some input on a high quality extrator for my 1911 9mm slide. Need a new one.

I need a series 80 extrator but would like some advice on whos I should buy. Wilson combat, caspin, nowlin , or ?????

And where I can get it from.

Thanks

I would phone the gunsmith your going to have install it and ask his opinion on what he likes working with..... more then likely it will be one ofthe brand names mentioned and he will probably have one in stock, while your at it why not buy a second one off him and have him fit that as well and then keep the spare in your range kit.

I am using a Nowlin extractor (you can get them from Brownell's) with my 9mm Kimber Custom II. So far works perfect. Way better than the original Kimber extractor.

Go Aftec and disable your firing pin safety... love mine; super robust (tool steel and designed to pivot, not flex.)

I really like the Cylinder and Slide spring steel extractor, the only original spec extractor on the market that I'm aware of.
