hey guys its been a long time since iv been on here and i kind of want to buy myself a nice little plinker to take and shoot from time to time and keep in good shape. Im a lefty and everybody else is righty so im thinking a lever action is what i want to look for. so tell me what your favorite brand/model is. I have heard that marlin 39a's are very nice but picky when it comes to ammo...so im not too sure if i want to consider one of those.

please feel free to post pictures of your favorite .22's

My wife and I each have a Marlin 39a . Neither one is ammo fussy . Will eat anything we throw at them all day long . Maybe the newer ones are different , but ours are the most trouble free .22's that we own.

I only own one lever action, a mint 9422 Tribute in 22lr, but I do prefer it over any other lever action. The only negative, is that prices sure have gone up on 9422s, even beat up ones are selling for almost as much as they sold for new.

Got to be the 10-22. Bought a CZ 452 last fall just haven`t had a chance to try it much this spring. But for throwing in the truck or tractor every day use it will be the Ruger.

The most accurate 22 cal I own is my Ruger 10/22 next would be my BL-22.
I have other 22 cal rifles but they never get shot very often. The most accurate pistol I own is a Astra F Target the next being my Ruger Mark II.

Although not a lever gun, I'd look around for a Martini Cadet, usually a BSA, beautifully made and very accurate, no plastic!

I received a BL 22 for my 15th bday 36 years ago. I'm still shooting it and I love it. I couldn't guess how many rounds have gone through it or how many gophers it has killed. Still accurate and still fun to shoot. I recently got a Savage .17 so it might finally get some time off.

My 39A was made in the 50's and given to me by my uncle when I was a teenager. It's an absolute pleasure to shoot.

I like all rimfires. They allow to have the maximum fun for the minimum price.

I have and will have more centerfires(rifles and handguns) down the line but will always have an increasing rimfires on hand ready to shoot with 8-10 bricks of ammo in reserve at the minimum.

To me, nothing beats a bolt action for simplicity/reliability/accuracy. I had a 9422 and got rid of it, never saw any use and was an effort to clean. (compared to a bolt action, which is the easiest of them all)

So which is my favorite~that vote goes to my Anschutz 1450. (.22lr) I have/hunt/love my new CZ452 in .17HMR and am about to buy a Savage 93 in .22WMR. :) If I ever had the liquidate the collection (heaven forbid) the last to go would be the Anschutz.
