Best full metal pistol

CZ-75b. I don't have one, I have a sp-01 shadow, but all around the 75b would be a much better fighting gun. A friend has one I use all the time and it's flawless.

Mostly weight, I suppose. The shadow is a brick. Great for target shooting, with the additional weight up front of a full metal accessory rail, but I think (mind you, I'm NO expert) not as maneuverable overall, even if it is more accurate. Also, it comes standard with a front fiber optic sight which is pretty delicate. I just feel when I'm shooting my friends, that if I had to take one into a battle scenario (where a pistol would probably not be the first choice anyways, right?), the 75 is the one I'd take over my own Shadow.

I can see how it sounds like I'm making a statement of fact in the quote, but it's actually just an opinion.

The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) has determined that the "SP-01" is too damn heavy to be a "fighting gun," but the "75b" is just fine... ;)

I thought IDPA was a "sport" and all about scoring points not practical use of a defensive firearm? Who are they(IDPA) to dictate what is or is not too heavy to be a "fighting gun"?

No prob. I just wondered where the opinion came from. FYI the SP-01 and the SP-01 Tactical don't come with a FO front sight.

I would say your opinion is based on some pretty solid logic..I'm a little concerned about the bold section :D

Pick any Norinco except the Sig copy (they got alloy frame), really GOOD steel gun!! And you save a lot $ too! My favorite is NP 28 9mm hi-cap. My best target shooting 9mm gun, shoot tighter group than my Beretta M9 or Glock 17.

I've got a Jericho 9mm "Baby Eagle" and I love it. It's an Israel Weapon Industries pistol based on the CZ but designed mostly by Tangfoglio. The weight cuts down on recoil but tends to pull my pants down on the right side when I wear it holstered (probably an issue with any all metal pistol).

They have this wonderful invention called a "belt" :D

Here is something strange! I just went to Ellwood Epps website to look at CZ 75B availability and prices and it says right there: "CZ 75B BLACK POLYMER". Polymer??? I thought everybody agreed that CZ 75B's are all-Steel! Back to square one? :bangHead:

Could be the CZ 75B SP-01 Phantom that is polymer framed; however, they probably mean black poly-coated as opposed to stainless finish...
