Best functioning mag for T97?

I'm looking to invest in some more mags. I heard people talk about first gen, second gen, black, grey, etc.. not sure which were good, and which weren't.

LAR15 orange followers, no problem dumping 10rnd mag.
LAR15 grey follower. 10% FTL.

Seems the dimensions on the load ramp varies so what works on one doesn't on another. My T97 is the first wave.

Waiting to borrow some BW mags, like the 20 size mags. LAR15 10rnd size is hard to grip.

So I'd ordered some BW mags and some other AR mags (9 total) and none fit in the T97. All work in my AR, but none in the T97. So frustrated. I mean I have some other mags... but had planned on these with the ones I had to be enough. Kinda frustrated right now. Now I'm hoping that Frank will make a new mag release setup (likely a year or so away - if ever) that will correct this issue.

YIKES! And, for the record, my LAR15 mags work in my AR15, T97 and Tavor ALL INTERCHANGEABLY! Is the magwell on your T97 really tight or what?

Cheers

I modified my Mag well.
No problems with any of my 20+ different mags.

Yeah, very tight.

How/where exactly did you grind it down (I assume that's what you did)? Having just spent $350 on some different mags, I'm not really all that interested in cutting them up, and modifying the mag well seems like a better idea - as long as I can do so without breaking the gun.

I measured the spine of my mags. And in my mag well the spine is what rubbed the most. I made a wooden block and sandpaper to widen the spine a bit.

You could also use a file, but files are usually a bit messier.

It takes a lot of time, but it is worth it.

I didn't want to touch my gun at all.. So a little light filing on my gen1 and gen2 p-mags and shapow!! They fit super nice. Just need a little material of the back spine which can be done in minutes. Take your time and you won't be able to tell it was even done.

If you want to use a polymer mag I had my Troy battle mags work 100 percent in my T97. The lancer awm would not work. Most gen 2 pmags worked and the gen 3 pmags were quite spotty for fit and function. Lar15 worked all the time abs did all usgi and d&h.
