So I caved to peer pressure...bought 2 things I swore I never would, a Magpul Hunter stock and a 6.5CM. I hate them both (but they are slowly growing on me lol). I may swap the stock around to my 308 and 223 just try it out... I think MDT is it for 223 mags, are the 308 they make any good? Poly or steel?
I got the Magpul Mag conversion, and right out of the box it had 2 issues. Bolt binding on feed lips, and would not feed the middle rounds for some odd reason. Looked it over (always mod the cheapest thing first!) and easy fix for the bind, just removed a bit off the mag "nub" so it would sit lower, and reversed the magazine spring so more tension was on the cartridge head vs the shoulder. The jams were when the cartridge would clear the feed lips but get tossed up and bullet wound miss the chamber. Now it's a direct smooth feeding machine that I might almost be happy with lol. Really, it feeds very smoothly... surprised the hell out of me.
But mags...what and where for 308/6.5? Pretty sure not much for AICS 223 other then MDT?
