but I agree with both sides, first, try and improve your technique, but if you can't do that, mechanix gloves fit the bill, best compromise between dexterity and heat resistance

....Considering there is only one place on the gun that conducts enough heat to possibly burn you (the barrel). Don't touch it, lots of other spots you can handle the firearm without hurting yourself.
