Best Grain Bullet for Deer Hunting with a .270?

Hey folks, I’m gearing up for deer season and planning to use a .270 Winchester. I know shot placement is key, but I’m curious what grain bullet you all prefer for whitetail. I’ve seen recommendations ranging from 130 to 150 grains—just wondering what’s worked best for you in terms of accuracy, knockdown power, and minimal meat damage.

Do you find lighter grains like 130 perform better with flatter trajectory, or do you stick with heavier 150s for deeper penetration? Any specific loads or brands you swear by?

Will prob be using a Tikka T3x, 100y max.

Any 130 gr bullet will kill the #### out of a whitey at 100 yards ! Easy Peasy . I shot them with Hornady 130 gr Interlocks . 👍
 
I'll second the call for 130 grainers. I used 130 gr Noslers...some Partitions and mostly Ballistic Silver Tips for 25 + yrs in my old original Browning A-Bolt I for deer and a couple black bear, Nary a lost critter, excellent results, most were bang flops !
 
IMHO! .270 Winchester, 130-grain Nosler Ballistic Tip or Hornady SST work great for whitetail deer hunting.
