I was out today and shot the 2 best groups I have ever shot. I have been looking for the best loads for my rifle, and one of the guys at the range recommended H380, as it is less temp sensitive than the BLC(2) I'd been using. I had some fair luck with Varget, but not quite what I wanted. I was using 49 gr. H380, Hornady 168 gr. Match, in PMC brass and CCI primers. The bullets were loaded to .005 from the rifling. One group, 3 shots in .07 inches. another 5 shot at .45. I must say I'm pretty proud of my little Remmy SPS Varmint. This was at 100 yds.

Three in seven one hundreds of a m.o.a.. !.
If I was ever to shoot like that it'd be because the other two missed paper, and the one that didn't was keyholed just a smidge.
May I suggest you get it laminated before it goes forever into your wallet.

Best groups

Hey, I'm not even hoping for anywhere near that kind of accuracy as a standard. The load I mentioned seems to give between 1/2 to 3/4 in. groups (I fired 8 groups with that load), not counting the odd shot the I blew. That is quite satisfactory if I can get it consistently, but it is nice to walk up to a target and really have to look hard to see if there is more than 1 hole in the paper. Once I get the chance to scan it, I'll post the pix.

Even a few good groups is enough to raise your expectations to the point of no return. You will be hooked now and before you know it your wallet will be empty! Good shooting!

I have the most powerful device ever engineered to prevent my wallet from emptying. It is absolutely crack-proof and no matter how much I have tried to get around it, I have never been able to bypass it. It was made in NW Quebec many moons ago and is called a WIFE. It operates by keeping certain delicate and sensitive body parts in a stranglehold which tightens every time the wallet is opened. It also directly controls one of the most pleasurable hobbies (right up there with hunting and shooting) of males of the species, depriving the client (also known as HUSBAND) of this hobby for extended and indeterminate periods of time.
