Hi there,
I'm looking to mount a bushnell TRS25 onto my CSA 858.

From what options i've seen in one of the sticky topics i'm more geared towards a hand guard mount.

However i'm looking for a very solid hand guard mount that won't lose it's zero.

Anyone care to give some feedback on suggested hand guard mounts? Pros and cons?

Thanks!

one of my CZ858's wears an NEA upper/lower and TRS25. works perfect, co-witnesses and holds zero when I tear it down to clean.
another has FAB defense upper and lower, does not co-witness but does hold zero when replaced after teardown.

with TRS25, NEA upper/lower is my recommendation .

everything ive seen looks iffy, but the BC tactical is the best looking option to me. Ive not tried one yet but there pressure fitted and seem to be built like a tank, Im going to run one of my VZ's with a BC tactical hand guard set and a long eye relief scope, i have there scout mount on one of my VZ's and it is solid as a rock and great quality easy install i have a Fastfire 2 and its working with a solid marked improvement on my accuracy, i'm sold on BC tactical

I use the Fab defense aluminum rail, and its done well so far. I wouldn't reccomend the polymer one for optics though.

Well I don't have it yet, but from what I read it's very simple. BC Tac also has a video showing how to do it.
Depending on your rifle, you may have to shave down some pieces but chances are you won't.

You can find all the information here: ht tp://www.bctactical.ca/faq.html

This raile system is very strong it past Czech Army tests and got their Army's Equipment Stock Code. Installation is straight forward, no fitting needed. Bottom hand guard may need a tap with a mallet to get set in

I have the one Corwin arms is referring to and it is very solid and holds zero after cleaning. Only complaint I have is if your gas port tabs on VZ/CZ is not square to the rifle it is very difficult to instal upper hand guard. I believe most aluminum upper guards rely on gas port tabs to stabilize upper guard.

So were you still able to install the handguard yourself?
Is it uncommon to have your tabs not squared to the rifle?

I have a CSA if that makes any difference.

The Dlask/Infratek rails were pretty good, too. Taller than the NEA but quicker to remove/re-install for cleaning. I've got one in my parts box looking for a new home.
