So an average civilian gun owner in a deadly force night time encounter has to understand their psychology? What does this even mean? And their realistic expectations are to point and shoot without aiming?? But they need to check whether they are 3', 6', 3M or 5M away to know whether they should or should not be using their sights?
Sounds pretty above average expectations to me for the average guy.

Understand this though, even though I've posted 3 references but you say it's outdated. So I'm now taking the lesser position of assuming you have more updated information than I do, and I am asking for you to enlighten me with those updated reference, researches and case studies. Can you do that?

I already did my research and you say it's outdated. As a contrast, I assume you must have the updated research in the first place to determine mine is outdated. You follow?

I think for most reading this thread, sprinkling rounds down on the ground around your doors and windows will be more effective for HD than trying to engage with a rifle
the bad guy will slip and fall in the dark, crack their head on the ground and you have effectively D'd your H.

6 rounds per square foot is the magic ratio.
