Best home defense shotgun ?

$100k Perazzi for two reasons.

- The bad guys deserve the best that you can give them.
- You can base your self defense argument on the fact that you had no intention to shoot anyone because you know that the gun will be evidence and you won't see it again for 5 years. Charges stayed.

I keep this by my bed, Makes home invasion that much more fun and exciting ! ;)

Next to an aggressively barking dog in a darkened house the 870 Wingmaster would be a huge deterrent.
Go to your basement and turn off the lights.
Place a heavy dose of bad guy meds in the mage and rack that action and listen to what I am talking about.
ok, disclaimer make sure the gun is on safe and your familiar with it before doing what I mentioned.
Bad guy is either going to keep coming for something or going to wet his panties as he runs out the door.
Nothing sounds as mean as a pump action being racked in the dark, well maybe Thor being awoken from his slumber...
They both make distinct sounds !!

I posted this on another thread, but,I'll be glad to post it here, too. There's nothing illegal about keeping a trigger-locked shotgun (or any firearm, for that matter) standing in a corner of the bedroom with a handful of shells beside the bed table. The trick is to leave the lock and key on the floor PLUS,when the cops ask why you shot him, your ONLY answer is "He said he'd kill us all when he kicked the bedroom door" and don't say another word. Silence is your best friend and the evidence will speak for itself. In a worst case scenario,it's far better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6 and dead crooks don't tell lies.
