Best Hunitng Condition?

I like cold and calm mornings for hunting deer out of the stand, but any calm quiet day seems to be pretty good. A calm morning after a rainy night is usually a good time for them to be moving. When I'm on the ground poking along a light rain is nice, keeps the scent down, leaves don't crunch and water dripping off trees and whatnot gives a little bit of sound cover.

The hunting camp a little ways from us seems to think that deer only move in and morning and evenings, but my dad and I have shot more deer in the middle of the day than in the morning and evening put together...to each there own.
