On a simpler and less awesome note than the 7.62x25 m1 is a modernized 1911. I'd love to be able to buy a norc 1911 commander with a light rail and ambi safety from the factory.

I'd go for .50 S&W lever short barreled "guide gun" .

Import the Norinco SKS-D's that are still advertised on there website and you won't be able to stock enough of them. Cheap surplus ammo, compact, cheap. The only reason I don't have an SKS is because of the stupid mag set-up. A semi-auto needs a magazine.
