Well if you dont want to find what ammo it likes then understand your taking a crapshoot on an expensive lot of ammo that your stuck with if you buy the wrong stuff. Most issues are rifle or magazine related when it comes to a 10/22 with sporter chamber. Obviously the 10 round rotary mags will give you little if any trouble. BC steel lips, promag (I only have experience with their smoked banana mags, not the new marauder mags) work well when fitted properly. Some have had success with TI25 mags but I never could get them to feed reliably, 1 other member had the same issue. Blazers are known good in a stock 10/22 action with sporter chamber and good mags, they dont lead the bores much in these particular barrels and they shoot pretty good. The more expensive CCI stuff is usually GTG too. Grab some 50 rd boxes and have fun while taking notes on their performance. Its not hard or expensive, but very worth it if you plan to buy a case. Also, stick with HV ammo. New 10/22s are very rough and need hotter ammo to cycle reliably, especially in the winter. After about 500-1000 rds it will get noticeably smoother and start cycling milder loads but nothing subsonic. There are a few tricks that can make it cycle subs without alot of work but break it in first.
