Obviously, Yuge helical magazines, top folding stocks and AK-74 brakes are in fashion it seems.

Their gloves, I'm wondering if they're of the usual padded variety, or if they're weighted to increase punching power? NK SF seem to be big on martial arts, amd if anyone would issue sap gloves it'd be them.

The sidearms maybe Baek Du San 9mm, a Cz75 copy.

Anyway, the gear looks pretty good by NK standards, and you can tell that they actually feed these guys once in a while.

Good info, those helical mags look positively kludge-tastic, I wonder if they were adopted out of some actual operational need, or if Kim Jong Un pulled a Hitler and forced their adoption because he thought they were cool?

I would guess maybe the magazine reflects their tactics. No matter what a enemy's kit is never underestimate them history has shown under equipped militarys and peasents win wars with less.
