Best LaRue mount for optics on a swiss arms??

What's the best hight of LaRue mount for putting glass on a SA rifle? Just looking for minimum clearence of the rear diopiter sight. SPR 1.5?? 1.93? Any input would be appreciated. Probabaly be a low power variable...likely a shortdot. Anyone have that sort of set up?

What are all you Swiss Arms owners using for glass/mounts? I just bought my first one and know nothing about em.

Are the mounts you are looking for a see through design to allow for use of the iron sights?

No. I guess I should clarify. I just wanna know if the SPR 1.5 or 1.93 is best suited for the shortdot. I've just finished going through the photo thread and I've seen some S&Bs in LaRue mounts but it's hard to tell. I would think the cheek piece is a must for any magnified optics but I see some with out.
 
As pictured I use the 1.93 but only because one was available and I couldn't be sure that the 1.5 would work with the S&B's fat housing. With .43 less height it might just clear the diopter. I will take a caliper to it today and post my findings.
 
Cheek piece is a must with any of the mounts listed....
Otherwise you end up doing a very 'untacticool' impression of a crane!
 
I found that the Leupold 1.5-5X MRT has quite long eye relief when set at 1.5X, does the regular Larue mounts (1.5 and 1.93) height place it forward enough for that or do I need an extended mount?
