Best Lever-gun in .30-30?

Have hunted with both the Marlin and the Win. 94, and own a Marlin 336.

IMHO, the Marlin outclasses the '94 on most counts, and certainly has the advantage of scope mounting, if you ever decide to go that route.

My Marlin is about 12 years old, and has the additional safety. Frankly, for the life of me I can't figure out what the big deal is about this...??? It's this little button that you push to the "fire" position when it's time to shoot...you know, just like you do on every other rifle you could possibly mention. And the problem with this is...what???

Personally I don't care for the "lawyer proof" Marlins. The cross bolt safety is in response to lawsuit happy Americans who will sue a manufacturer over their own stupidity. Like most older shooters, I see a lever gun at full #### the same as a cat with it's ears laid back, CAREFUL!

If it's thutty thutty, it should be light, fast, short and lever.
The 94 fills all this, but i am partial to Marlins in particular 336T or even the older TS. Guess I grew up when the 94 looked gaggy with the side mount and the Marlin semed like the Cadillac to scope.:canadaFlag:
