This pistol has an optic to suit my old eyes.
For many years my go-to load has involved the DRG 135 gr lead round nose bullet and I found loads that shot it well.
Recently I have been playing with a new Ruger carbine, and found that it leaded badly, so developed loads using the Campro plated bullets. I get very good results with the 124 and the 147, with the 147 being slightly better. Test was off a bench at 50 yards.
I tried the CamPro development loads in my Canik SFX as well as the Ruger, and found that some of those loads were better than my DRG target loads for the pistol. This told me that the pistol 9and me) was capable of better groups than I had been accepting in the past.
Today I ran another test in both the carbine and pistol. I tried some Campro 147s with 231 powder and also tried some DRG 130 gr bullets intended for a 38 Spl. I am guessing they are sized 358 to 359. A bit big for a 9mm.
They were fair in the Ruger. Not as good as any Campro load I had tested.
But in the SFX they were outstanding. Better than anything I had used before.
DRG 130 gr 357 bullet 15 yards Standing, 2 hands, with optic
These bullets are what I use to load my 357Sig. The bullet shape is one of the few that fits well.
