My vote for the best looking handgun would be the Colt 1860 Army, the top one in the photo if your not familiar with them. I have always loved the lines of this revolver.

Here's a few S&W 357 Revolvers I have. All 3 are 5 screw pre-model 27's built in the early 1950's.

The top pre-M27 has a 8 3/8" barrel and wears non-relieved diamond center target stocks.
The center pre-M27 has a 6" barrel and wears non-relieved diamond center stocks.
The bottom pre-model 27 has a 5" barrel and wears walnut diamond center coke bottle stocks.

Next is a couple of M29's.

The top M29 has a 6 1/2" barrel and wears relieved diamond center coke bottle rosewood stocks.
The bottom M29-2 has a 4" barrel and wears relieved target stocks.

That M29 no dash 6.5" with coke bottles is a grail gun for me. Looks in fantastic shape too.

Just reading up on these. They were $39.95 new, and there have been recent auctions an sales on US sites from $800 to $1275.
