Know what you mean. With top end loads, I found the Hogue grips it came with can be a little brutal on the hands. I had a set of Jordon Trooper stocks I 'adapted' to fit the 500 and that made things a little more bearable. Still a handful but quite a difference.
The targets were shot off of a rest at 25yds but what never ceases to amaze me is the accuracy its capable of. Jacket, cast, light and heavy load combinations, all seem to do well. Groups did start to open up a bit with bullets of 500gr and heavier.

And, my favorite 45 ACP. A Kimber Super Match II. Easily the sweetest 1911 I've ever had.

Years ago, mid 70's to be more exact, I sent a letter and made arrangements to go to Salmon Idaho and meet Elmer Keith. Following a day long visit with him, I also stopped in for a visit to Herritt's Gun Stocks in Twin Falls. That's where/when I picked up a set of their Trooper stocks, Bill Jordons design. I 'adapted' them, years later, to fit the 500 S&W.

my vote is for the 1911 and there are too many beautiful ones for me to post...i am really liking the STI Hex tac

I have my sig collection. I'm currently selling the p229 & have a cz shadow 2 on the way. The other pic is the p226 with a 9mm conversion kit. I think the black with nickel controls looks greatsigs (2).jpgImage-2071382149.jpg

excellent choice sir! I was seriously considering buying black grips before I even bought my shadow 2. I believe select shooting supplies had/has them available. I know firearms outlet Canada (and maybe a couple others) is selling with different grip colors, but it's mostly the blue here in Canada. It seems the black grips are a common third option down in the states. I managed to snag the model with the blue grips for an amazing deal at firearms outlet Canada. The blue has grown on me, so i'll be keeping it stock for now.
I swear every time I shoot this cz pistol, it gets better. I found out the secret to shooting it just today: Aim at the center of the target and let the gun do the work. Don't try. The bullets will want to go to the very center of the target, so let them.
