All: I am putting together a bear gun over the winter, likely a Mossberg 590 or 590A1 (see my other postings). I am looking for Ghost Ring sights, but I wonder if there are low-cost red dot sights that would hold up to rough handling on a bear gun. This can mean being strapped to an ATV handlebar wrapped only in a tarp, or getting fallen on when slung on one's back.
Any reccommendations? Or am I best to stick with Ghost Ring sights with metal ears protecting them?
