Best LPVO for excessive recoil ..

There are so many options today for scopes with lifetime warranties I'd pick one that suits your budget and reticle style and pull the trigger.
Optics are a bit personal as we all see things a bit differently...

Many scopes are built to withstand 30 cal+, so I wouldn't sweat it too much. As already mentioned, most scopes have full warranty.

If ir means anything in terms of durability, I put a Riton 2-8X Tactix on my 45-70 lever gun. So far so good.

The action moves violently. Some lower quality scopes can slowly loose zero.. I once placed a Weaver scope on an SKS .. barely lasted four boxes of rounds. Some people insist on Bushnell or Leupold .. I like to hear other experiences.You think a 308 semi-auto produces, "excessive" recoil?

I have Vortex Razor HD Gen II-E 1-6, Primary Arms PLx Compact 1-8 and a Vudu 1-6 on my AR-10s. They do just fine, obviously. I really don't think you would have issues with a more budget friendly optic since "excessive" recoil is not a thing with these guns.
So you think a semi-auto action has more recoil impulse than a bolt action? Interesting .... totally wrong, but interesting none the less.

Id say anything brand name at this point, they're all rated for 10k G's iirc. Vortex has the best warranty but Burris has been great to me and makes a better optic on the budget side imo, although usually a little more expensive in the XTR II line vs the vortex strike eagle line. If money is no object go NF or Schmidt & Bender if you like FDE. The Nightforce NX8 line is pretty wicked but Vortex makes a 1-10 i believe in their razor lineup.
I think this totally depends on the semi auto action vs the weight of the bolt gun. An ultra lightweight bolt action in 308 will have more and sharper recoil than a B&T APC 308 for example. But a lightweight semi auto 308 vs a 30lb bench rifle is a whole different story. FN Scar's in 308 were known to bust up optics, never heard of any bolt actions doing the same.
From my understanding, M-1a / M-14 were hard on some brands too ..
