Best Lube/Grease For AR's

G96 (gun treatment oil) for all my guns and for everything. Clean with it, oil to protect from rust with it, oil to lubricate it.

Love it.
 
So far I tried:
G96
sewing machine oil
Froglube
Slide Glide
transmission oil
Mpro7 oil
Fireclean
Tetragon grease
and probably 5 other random lubricant that I can't remember.

They all performed flawlessly. Not sure to understand why people get crazy everytime a new lubricant is release. I've never had any problem related to lubrication.

Some guys like to lube their bcg by dumping it in a bottle of oil. I don't think that is necessary, so I don't bother.

When I look at my bolt carrier, the finish only wears along the small 'rails' towards the front of the carrier. That tells me that I only need a bit of lube there...
I have a NiB bcg now, so I use even less lube than ever in my AR.

All I use on all of my guns is plain old wheel bearing grease. I apply with a syringe to get it everywhere I need it.
Grease stays put whereas oil slowly drips away.
 
I dont use grease on my ARs i use good quality synthetic motor oil, use a lighter weight oil if in cold weather, if its good enough for a 500hp racing engine its good enough for guns . for my Garands /M14s i use the Lucas red & tacky grease ..

From my humble experience, a well generous lube dirty gun( pistol, revolvers and my ARs etc) will run more reliably than a CLEAN but less lube firearm.
 
G96 all the way....... Clean, lube, protect, all my firearms get this.... And a little dab on the neck for the ladies.......lol
 
Anyone wanting to use CLP but can't find it, try MPro7. It's the only other lube that i've found locally (Cabelas, Wholesale, etc.) that has a NSN on it. Seems to hold up to semi-auto rifles better than G96 or Hoppes synthetic.
 
CLP or Bio Oil, I find works the best, unless firing in weather conditions under -10 then use graphite powder lubricant.
And when firing in desert conditions CLP all moving parts let sit for 5 minutes then wipe away liquid or all you will do is make chamber cement.
 
Biggest issue is how people lube their guns

Right way- lube parts during the field strip :)

Wrong way- open ejection port cover and pour lube in :(
 
I use the sweat from fat out of shape mall ninjas
But since the new call of duty came out and I have the range to myself again I use froglube or g96
 
I use frog lube generously on all the moving parts on my ARs.

I also use is similarity on all of my guns. Haven't run into any weather related problems on any of them.

I do shoot primarily in the Vancouver area though...
