Best Milsurp rifle for SHTF

Hopefully we never find ourselves in a SHTF situation. But if we did what Milsurp rifle would you choose to bring along for the ride? Taking into consideration reliability, accuracy and ammo avaibility among other factors it could be very interesting!

for milsurp SKS without a doubt. definitely chrome lined one

EDIT: If we're counting them, VZ's and Type 81's but they're new production so technically not milsurp. They are military style rifles though.

AK but since you can't in canada, a SKS will do.

CZ858 is also a good choice.

I was thinking a k31 would make a great SHTF weapon providing I had enough gp11 kicking around. Can't go wrong with an Sks and a spam can ammo though!

858 once you have the bolt tabbed.

Not actually a "milsurp", but a bog standard AR-15 is actually a better choice. Because AR type rifles are in use by the Canadian and American military, and now most LEO as well, parts, ammo, etc, will be FAR more abundant for it than any other rifle.

I actually like the 858 more. But that's irrelevant. If SHTF, go with what you can feed the most easily. And that's an AR.

To be honest anything in the 3 caliber, 5.56, 7.62N and 9mm. Why you ask, well it's the most common issued ammo in North America hence there will be a large supply. Which also means that you won't have to start finding ammunition and components to reload really odd calibers
