Best ML Optic - Long eye relief

Hey so this hunting season ended with a scope kiss and 5 stitches for me off my Traditions Nitrofire.

What are your favorite modern ML scopes/optics, preferably with the longest eye relief. Realizing when the ML is rested on an icy log and you have gloves on the ML moves a lot more than at the range in the summer lol.

Ouch! I shoot the Savage smokeless and a vortex mounted on it. I shoot bench mostly with it but with a moderate load of accurate 5744 44 gr.
Not much of a push with a 300 gr saboted pill.

I have a Burris E1 3-9x40 with ballistic plex muzzleloader reticle on my nitrofire. It's clear and adjustments are crisp with good eye relief. The only negative is that the mag ring is stiff to turn. Good scope for 300-350. If you are mainly concerned with eye relief then leupold is probably the way to go. They've had the best eye relief of any scopes I've used in the past. Their freedom version probably starts around $500. Did you at least get what you were shooting at? Helps ease the scope kiss.

Just because it is an older scope doesn’t mean it is not available , check around You might find one … I personally think there is no real good option for muzzleloaders and most companies just make for center fire and rim fire. Leupold ultimate slam, Nikon omega were good on muzzleloaders.

Wouldn't it be cheaper (free actually!) to simply work on your form while shooting prone, making a very conscious effort to avoid crawling the stock while in the prone position? If that's good, then worry about how your scope is mounted. If the scope is mounted to it's forward most position "for you", at max power, in relation to your eye while laying prone, while still retaining scope box clarity (where the outer edges turn black), it should be darn near impossible to get a scope kiss.

I've got a Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 1.75-5x32 on my ML, I really like it, lots of eye relief, easy to get behind, decent glass, and has held up well to some bangs and drops without issue. They seem to pop up for sale every once in a while
