Best moose rifle for 300 plus yards

Don’t over think it, the 300 WSM you are thinking about is an excellent choice as is any number of cartridges, 270, 280 AI, 30-06, 7mm PRC, and one of my favourites the 300 PRC but of course any 30 cal magnum is more than adequate.

Both elk and moose have fallen with my 7RM. A good friend of mine recently shot and killed moose and elk with his 257WM at 400 and 500 yards. Drops them both in their tracks, never took a step.
