Best Mount for Vortex 1-4x24

I picked up a Vortex 1-4x24 the other day on the EE for a great deal.

What i wanted to know is what do you guys mount it with?

Which is better to do the Rings, or a one piece mount?

and Which are the best on the market or is it good to just go with the vortex gear?

Suggestions would be great.

Application would be on a AR15 (new one yet to be bought)
 
I'd probably just use the Vortex (ADM) QR one piece mount. I use it myself, not that it matters, and it seems like a great mount. If you go this route though, see if you can pick one up through an American Defense Manufacturing dealer rather than Vortex and save a pile of money. I don't know why this mount costs so much through Vortex. I can only assume they're buying them up at retail and further marking them up.
 
I just bought the Vortex ADR Cantilever mount from One Shot for a shockingly cheap $210 for my Vortex 1-4x.

I have several Burris PEPR QD mounts and figured I'd like the ADR better, even at $100 more. I haven't put much time behind it yet... but I don't see a huge difference over the PEPR. If you are on a budget, it might be worth it to you.

Def get a cantilever mount though for this scope.... unless you have a very low cheekweld, in which case any cant mount pops it up pretty high an d you might like low rings better.
 
I have both the Vortex version of the ADM Recon and the original ADM. They are incredibly solid mounts, with well engineered heavy duty hinges. I got the original from Arms East...

This gun is long gone but just to give you an idea...

All of my CQB/service rifle optics are mounted on ADM cantilever mounts. Solid, reliable, and they hold their POI well when you dismount-remount. The pricing isn't bad either given the quality.
 
Grouse River, I would have preferred to buy from one of the sponsors but i couldn't find one (besides ones way higher in price) so i defaulted to them.

So far not impressed with them as they put the order in on the 27th in the morning, and it showed as status shipped as of noon, but by CP tracking it shows it hasn't even been received so we will see, how they work out, could be CP just not updating as always.
