Best non-pal airgun for pests?

Never seen in any Canadian tires here in Hamilton. Anyone confirm they are sold in Canadian tire?

They may be able to order one.

The last time I checked they do have airguns on their website. But I know no stores in Toronto stock them, so when I went on the site to "check store stock" and selected the stores around me, it said they were a special order item.

Although the Crossman is great you will need to upgrade it significantly to mount a scope.

You need to be pinpoint accurate to kill pests.

Below will do about 500 FPS (it's < 500 rated) in .22 and can easily be scoped.

are your pests as big as a horse ? :p

almost any off the shelf ,177 or .22 will take squirrel , even rabbits but shot placement is everything.Stick to chest cavity/neck shots. Heads can be bullet resistant. Keep distance to under 25 yards and the little pests are goners.....:D

I shot a Squirrel with my .177 Slavia and he ran away with involuntary muscle spasms. very odd looking.

The Industry QB79 airgun sounds interesting. It would at least let me put my paintball co2 tank to use again. The QB78 would be an option, but I sold all my 12gram co2s.

his screen name is sniper at canadian air gun forum

crosman phantom .22 which is a spring powered rifle that only needs to be cocked once for a shot or a crosman 2289, both can be used in any weather conditions, you can find the phantom at wallmart.

Crosman 2289G Backpacker 22cal multi pump pneumatic.
crosman phantom .22 which is a spring powered rifle

I have used both of these, and think for the price, either is a great choice. The backpacker can be broken down into a long pistol, but I find the release to do it gets in the way of your thumb when shooting (gets painful after a while). I found it quite accurate.

I shot my friends Phantom, and I think its an excellent gun. Pretty accurate and really comfortable to shoot. I also like the sights better on this one.

Both will take small game, and both are a bargin.
